To find out that your son has an ICE addiction is horrifying...
From the first “no nonsense” meeting, through the education pathway, with support and assistance our position is so very much better. We know that it is a long journey, but we feel well supported and informed with Belinda and her team’s guidance and reassurance.

“Belinda Walsh is highly recommended as Australia’s leading Intervention Specialist with over 27 years of experience in her field.
She has supported many families in understanding the complexities of addiction and the need for the individuals to focus on their own recoveries. Every member of each family were able to take away a new understanding of the individual roles that they had played in the addiction. But with ongoing support and referral from Belinda they were able to make changes and be more open and loving in their communication with their addict. I believe Belinda to be highly professional in her work with the resulting outcomes exceeding expectation.”

This serves to confirm that I have worked with Belinda Walsh extensively over the past few years, relative to many clients that she has assisted into recovery at South Pacific Private.
As a counsellor and interventionist, Belinda consistently refers clients ready for detoxing and rehabilitation to our facility.
I have always found Belinda to be highly professional and a pleasure to work with, and her clients are always well prepared for the programs we offer at South Pacific Private.
Belinda is also a great community educator and facilitator of family support.
I wish Belinda every success on her continued career path.
Kindest regards,

Thank you for your care and guidance over the last two weeks. Your preparation for the intervention was thorough and your understanding of the process gave us confidence at a time when doubt and worries were omnipresent.
It had been a stressful time as we prepared ourselves for the encounter. Your willingness to always be contacted to talk through issues or answer questions was greatly appreciated. Your advice about what to expect and how to handle objections had us fully prepared. Perhaps what we were all most unprepared for was how easy it was to obtain a “yes I’ll go for treatment” as we concluded our letters.
In retrospect I put this down to the way we asked him to take the help offered; this of course was managed in detail by you. The message of love and care came through loud and clear and the result speaks for itself.
Managing the dynamics of a family in turmoil is no simple task. I appreciate the delicate way you dealt with each of us and allowed our fears and concerns to be heard and addressed. Your service is a unique one and I can only imagine an array of problems for people attempting to do this most complicated and stressful process without your guiding touch. With the experience of hundreds of interventions, you have the rare insight to know what to expect and how to obtain a result which is best for all involved.
I know this task would have been virtually impossible without your support and direction. It would certainly have been unbearably stressful and I doubt it would have been as successful. Thank you for the role the you have played in my family’s life; your contribution is nothing short of amazing.

“Belinda became known to us via recommendation from South Pacific Hospital some years ago, as a specialist using intervention as a method of helping families being affected by an addictive member.
After exhausting the usual professional avenues and reaching a dead end with these results, Belinda and her technique of intervention gave us the positive direction we had been searching for but were unable to find with all other conventional methods.
Belinda restored hope and united direction to our family when we thought there was none to be had.
Not only did we find her to be of a highly ethical and professional standard her insight into addiction and all behavioural problems associated with it gave us the understanding we needed to deal with the task at hand.
Confidentiality, availability out of the usual realm of hours, follow up counselling and a totally honest approach to our questions enabled working together with Belinda to be of a most positive and satisfying nature.
Belinda has become a valued friend and confidant to all of our family for some years now, and is always available for any advice we may seek from time to time.
I therefore highly recommend Belinda and her Intervention Method and cannot thank her enough for what she has helped our family achieve.
